Randy and I grew up in the same town, lived minutes apart from each other and even knew some of the same people growing up, yet we never met. It wasn't until a friend and co-worker suggested that I bring (my then 4 year old daughter) Paris to the same Church VBS the summer of 2007, that we finally ran into each other for the first time.
I was a single mom and was looking for a good church for Paris and I to attend here in the Hewitt area. I was curious to see if Peace Lutheran was the right home for us, after all, we had been told by two different people it was where we should go. I signed her up.
At registration, Paris had her photo taken. I didn't want to just leave her without knowing whether she really wanted to stay or not, so I waited outside. As soon as she was done it was clear to me that she wanted to stay. "Mommy, mommy," I remember her saying, "that guy that took my picture was cute...you should talk to him!"
"Yeah, okay," I thought to myself, "we'll see about that!" Turned out my daughter had good taste! The guy that had taken her photo was cute!
What did I notice first however? Not his charming smile or his sweet face, nope...it was his camera of course! I remember thinking, "Any guy with an awesome camera like that has gotta be interesting!" I was right. Not only was Paris impressed with "that cute guy" that took her photo, I was too! It wasn't much longer till we set up our first date, and not much soon after that, our wedding date!
Clearly, we're two puzzle pieces that God fit perfectly together. When it comes to photography, it's no different. I adore the creative aspects of photography, posing the photos, setting up the shot and editing the final product, whereas Randy is all about the technical end of the process.
Together, we make the perfect fit and will offer you..."the perfect solution to all your photography needs!"
